Image from aviationtribune.com Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific announced changes in its hand-carry baggage policy as it vowed to “strictly enforce” its travel rules.

Cebu Pacific issued a travel advisory yesterday saying the changes will take effect next week.

“Beginning July 19, 2018, Cebu Pacific will strictly enforce our policy on hand-carry baggage acceptance,” the airline said in the announcement. It added, “Passengers are allowed one carry-on or hand-carry baggage inside the cabin, with a maximum weight of seven (7) kilograms and dimension of up to 56cm x 36cm x 23 cm.”

The policy said passengers will be allowed to bring purses, laptop bags and handbags that can fit under the seat. Passengers with infants may bring an extra bag that contains all the baby necessities in addition to their hand-carry baggage, the advisory said.

It added, “This is in line with our continued efforts to streamline operations and provide a more efficient check-in experience at the airport.”

A previous announcement by the airline’s management said the new policy on hand-carry baggages would be on July 17, but was later moved to Thursday.
