Twelve persons, including a policeman who has gone absent without leave (AWOL), were arrested in Navotas City Friday night during an anti-illegal drugs operation.
Among those nabbed during an alleged pot session at Market 3 at Barangay NBNN was Police Officer 2 Michael del Monte who claimed he was only a user and not a pusher.
Del Monte was formerly detailed with the Caloocan police and was carrying his service firearm when arrested.
The target of the operation was one Romeo Santiago and his mother Melenia, along with the alleged runner Mark Jar-R Ramirez. Santiago yielded an unlicensed gun.
