Alfredo Zapanta, the barangay chairman of Danao, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental was gunned down yesterday, according to a report reaching the Philippine National Police headquarters in Quezon City.
Zapanta was shot at around 5:40 am at Purok 7, Brgy. Danao.
He was brought to the Jasaan Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
