A motorcycle rider sustained injuries while his passenger was lucky to escape unscathed following an early morning accident along Quirino Highway in Caloocan yesterday.
The driver, Jay Art Bayron, was rushed to the Tala General Hospital for treatment after his motorcycle nearly ended up under a jeepney driven by Jonathan Balendez.
Balendez and his passengers told the police that the motorcycle was traversing the opposite direction when it was hit by a cement mixer before hitting the jeepney.
Bayron’s passenger who declined to be identified was able to jump off the motorcycle.
Bayron was trying to overtake when hit by the mixer, Balendez said.
