MOTORISTS at Ras Al Kaimah (RAK) City, UAE and nearby areas have a reason to celebrate as authorities opened to the public on Wednesday a new 30-kilometer long ring road connecting the north and south parts of the emirate.
Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, minister of infrastructure development, inaugurated the DH410 million road that starts from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and ends at RAK-Shaam road, which leads to Musandam in the Sultanate of Oman.
“The speed limit has been set at 140kmph and the road can accommodate up to 60,000 vehicles in every direction per day” Al Nuaimi said.
