The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (MSMEDC) has organized the National MSME summit 2018 to be held at the ASEAN Convention Center in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
Trade Secretary Ramon M. Lopez said the summit is an avenue for innovation and competitiveness of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) considered “the backbone of the Philippine economy.”
“With the continued support from both government and private sectors, we are enabling MSME and generating inclusive growth,” he said.
The summit, with the theme “Accelerating 7Ms for Competitive MSME,” will feature various opportunities and initiatives under the so-called 7M framework.
The framework, which stands for Mindset Change, Mastery, Mentoring, Money, Machine, Market Access and Models of Business, was introduced in July 14, 2017. It was initiated by the ASEAN Economic Council (AEC) during the 2017 ASEAN Summit, then hosted by the Philippines.
