Cara y cruz leads to AWOL cop’s arrest

A policemen who has gone AWOL (absent without leave) was arrested with two others Saturday evening by Manila policemen.
The three yielded illegal drugs after being arrested for playing cara y cruz, a street gambling game, at the corner of Carlos Palanca and Basan streets.
A total of 19 packets of suspected shabu were seized from the three whose identify were withheld pending their inquest today.
They will face charges of illegal gambling and possession of illegal drugs, according to the Manila Police Department.
