Subaru Eyesight is the latest in autonomous technology using active sensors to guide your vehicle.
The Subaru Eyesight technology is a system that is so suited to Philippine traffic than we ever imagined it would be. Presented in Taiwan in the early part of 2018, our initial impression was that it would be another automated cruise control that can only be used for driving in highways.
We were wrong. When we tested it locally, it showed us it can control our cars, the Subaru’s that is, in Edsa’s stop-and-go or standstill traffic. Allowing adaptive cruise control on a Subaru using cameras around the car, the Eyesight controls car speeds from 0kph to 10kph. It stops and goes as traffic on Edsa does.
But if you don’t believe us, Subaru is presenting a test drive program where you can test their cars in real time. Last weekend, Subaru held a test drive event at the Uptown Parade grounds in BGC where the Eyesight tech was put to the test.
Called the “Subaru Ultimate Test Drive,” customers were able to see, test and feel the Subaru Difference. They also learned more about Subaru’s Four Core Technologies: Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer Engine, Subaru Global Platform and the new EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
