The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed charges against nine individuals and companies yesterday before the Department of Justice (DOJ) for allegedly failing to pay taxes.
High on the list of delinquent taxpayers was Jennifer dela Cruz Feliciano, sole owner of Theaden Marketing Services, who was indicted allegedly for failing to pay P17.8 million in taxes for the year 2011.
The company of Feliciano is engaged in the business of providing marketing services, including the solicitation of application for credit cards with registered address at No. 5-A Alley 2 BF Road, Holy Spirit, Quezon City.
Also charged for not paying taxes (a violation of Section 255 in relation to Section 253(d) and 256 of the Tax Code) were C. B. Eugenio Enterprises Co. Inc. and its President Emmanuel delos Santos; Northstar Transport Facilities (LTD), Inc. and its president Gerard L. Rabonza and treasurer Hazel R. Rabonza.
The C.BJ. Eugenio Enterprises and the Northstar Transport Facilities were charged for not paying taxes in 2009 and 2010, respectively. The two companies have combined tax liability amounting to P43.8 million.

C. B. Eugenio is a domestic corporation and an independent contractor with address at No. O87 emerald Avenue, Palmera Homes, Taytay, Rizal.
Based on the complaint, C.B. Eugenio and its corporate officer are being sued for unpaid taxes for the year 2009 amounting to P4.3 million.
The BIR is also running after the DAEAH Philippines Inc., a company engaged in providing various services in construction which is based in Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig City.
The company, according to the charges sheet, has P63.9 million tax liability from July 2014 to December 2014.
DAEAH Philippines is a domestic firm engaged in the business of construction, installation, maintenance, repair rehabilitation, overhauling system modification and commissioning services in the Philippines and for export abroad, for power generating, plants, steel mills plants, chemical plants and the like.
Also included in the charges sheet were Plastic Tehnobag Co.LTD. and its corporate officers, General Manager Robert go and Managing Partner Mary Rose Belza; RPV Electro Technology Phils. Corp. and its officer, President Roland P. Vazquez; Shema Ultimate Business Innovative Concept, its President Crispin U. Ando and treasurer Arceliza T. Sequira; and Touring Group Inc. and its treasurer Jessica Pauline Valencia.
RPV Electro Technology Phils. Corp. and its officers have P18.3 million in outstanding tax debt, while Shema Ultimate Business Innovative Concept has P49 million in unpaid taxes.
Touring Group on the other hand has P4.6-million tax debt it incurred in 2010.
The BIR said the nine individual and corporate taxpayers have willfully failed to pay taxes.
