The Bureau of Immigration-Fugitive Search Unit agents have arrested a Chinese national who is wanted in China for alleged involvement in various economic crimes. The suspect was identified as Jiang Houlong, 45.
In the report to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, BI-FSU Chief Bobby Raquepo said that the arrest of Jiang was made pursuant to Mission Order No. JHM-2018-151 and in the coordination with Police Attaché Li Le of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Manila.
Jiang, who is also an undocumented alien, was arrested by the BI-FSU during entrapment operations at the Harbour Square Compound, Pasay City.
Raquepo said that Jiang poses risk to public safety and security, being a fugitive as per official communication from Police Attaché Li Le.
It was learned that he is being hunted down by Chinese authorities and his passport had already been cancelled by China.
