Prosecutor robbed of pricey phones

A public prosecutor was among those victimized by six armed robbers who struck at a local restaurant and forcibly carted away their victims’ valuables Wednesday night in Caloocan City.

Citing a preliminary report, city police chief Senior Supt. Restituto Arcanghel said the incident happened at Manzano’s Kitchen located at Macabagdal Street corner A. de Jesus Street, Barangay 89 past 8 p.m.

According to accounts, four men entered the restaurant, one of whom shouted: ‘Walang gagalaw,” as he pulled out a firearm. The suspects then grabbed the valuables and cellular phones of customers, including the prosecutor’s iPhone and Samsung unit.

Afterwards, their two other armed cohorts came in. The six robbers subsequently fled to an unknown direction, police said.

Arcanghel has instructed his men to see if there are closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed inside and outside the restaurant for possible identification of the robbers.
