AGADIAN CITY — More than 30 high school students fainted during an earthquake and fire drill here yesterday, according to Genevieve Aclanon, training staff of the Pagadian City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).
The students were from the Saint Columban College. Most were immediately discharged after being rushed to a local hospital.
“Few of them, I think six students, nasa hospital pa (remained in the hospital),” she said.
CDRRMO spearheaded the earthquake drill followed by the Bureau of Fire Protection’s fire drill, during which students and teachers were taught how to use fire extinguishers.
