POLICE have arrested the suspected killer of Nueva Ecija priest Fr. Richmond Nilo after an alter boy identified him as the gunman.
Adell Roll Milan was arrested in Barangay Malapit in San Isidro town Thursday evening, said the Police Regional Office 3.
The arrest of Milan came after Malacanang heeded appeals from the Catholic Church to solve the crime quickly with Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque personally asking Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde to do so.
Albayalde ordered PRO 3 director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus to prioritize the case and the latter formed a team to investigate the killing.
Police have three suspects in the murder of Nilo, who was gunned down while preparing to hold Mass in a chapel in Barangay Mayamot in Zaragosa town.

Police are looking into three possible motives for Nilo’s killing. One is his involvement in helping molested minors and another is his involvement in a land dispute, according to Corpus. A third reason may be his stance against a certain religious sector.
