Senator Imee Marcos on Tuesday said the government need not import rice until next year, noting that local supply is projected to surpass consumer demand.
The peso exchange rate is stronger against the U.S. dollar for the second day in three trading days, by 0.09 or 0.2 percent, to close at 56.77 on Tuesday.
