Exercise in futility

Exercise in futility

Dear Editor,

No amount of rationalizing and sugar-coated statements can change the fact that the CPP-NDF-NPA's notion of peace talks is merely a subterfuge to attain their end goal of overthrowing the government.

This fact has been openly admitted by Luis Jalandoni.

Several administrations had tried talking peace with the CPP-NDF-NPA and all ended up with bagfuls of frustrations, not to mention the millions in taxpayer money gone to waste talking with a terrorist organization that knows no notion of peace.

Only a fool would allow himself to be fooled openly by someone he knows will eventually fool him.

Talking peace with the CPP-NDF-NPA terrorist organization is an open invitation to be scammed in a myriad of ways that would strip this government of any sense of pride and dignity as a sovereign power capable of maintaining internal peace, order, stability, and security.

The Philippine government is winning the war against terror.

The CPP-NDF-NPA is in shambles. It is in the throes of death. It has collapsed militarily and politically, losing the Filipino people's support.

The CPP-NDF-NPA is not in any position to make any demands, much less negotiate with the Philippine government.

On the other hand, the Philippine government can only ask for the unconditional surrender of the CPP-NDF-NPA or they will face the full force of the law. Nothing less is expected of this government, ideally.

To show weakness to a dying enemy, under the idiotic notion of peace and unity, is probably the worst policy decision this government can make.

Peace can only be attained if the CPP-NDF-NPA is completely neutralized on all fronts. To believe otherwise would be a monumental mistake.A mistake that politicians have repeatedly made at the expense of the Filipino people.

This generation will not tolerate the same mistake again. This time, we will not allow the politicians to commit the same blunder.

Peace talks with the CPP-NDF-NPA terrorist organization are an exercise in futility. Terrorists know no peace. Only a fool would believe otherwise.

Terrorists, on the other hand, only deserve an ultimatum. Only a fool would give a terrorist red-carpet treatment. A greater fool would engage terrorists in peace talks. The ultimate fool will believe that terrorists know peace.
