The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) has advised its members to find ways to innovate and embrace digitization to survive and prepare future pandemics, as the “good old days” will never return.

In an interview during the Daily Tribune’s digital morning show Gising Na!, MAP National Issues Committee chairperson Riza Mantaring said the business sector should focus and invest in digitization and wean away from the brick and mortar style of doing business.

“The pandemic indeed changed the world and our way of living. And what was before will no longer go back. Businesses nowadays need to innovate and I believe the goodness that pandemic has brought us is the embracing of digitization. And that helped some businesses as they pivot to survive,” according to Mantaring.

Additionally, she reminded business owners to value their workers and stakeholders, especially in the supply chain, by providing the necessary assistance and continued patronage to them amid the challenges.
