27 arrested in weekend ops; ₱135K shabu seized in Nueva Ecija — NEPPO

Nueva Ecija police carry out intensified law enforcement operations across the province, resulting in the arrest of 27 individuals and the seizure of shabu, firearms, ammunition, and untaxed cigarettes during weekend operations from September 11 to 13, 2026. — RPIO3



CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police arrested 27 individuals and seized over ₱135,000 worth of shabu, firearms, and untaxed cigarettes in a series of operations across Nueva Ecija from 11 to 13 September the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office reported.

On Sunday, seven drug suspects were arrested in San Antonio, Gen. Natividad, Bongabon, and San Isidro, with 5.7 grams of shabu valued at ₱38,760 seized. Authorities also recovered 20 reams of cigarettes without BIR tax stamps, surrendered in Zaragoza, San Jose City, Bongabon, and Llanera.



On September 12, police arrested 16 people — including a Most Wanted Person in Zaragoza — and seized 2.16 grams of shabu in Cabanatuan City. Five reams of illicit cigarettes were also recovered in Rizal and Cuyapo.

On September 11, a search warrant in Gapan City led to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of a 9mm pistol, ammunition, and 10 grams of shabu valued at ₱68,000. Three other wanted persons were arrested in Quezon, Santa Rosa, and Nampicuan, while two homemade shotguns and a hand grenade were surrendered in Palayan City and Gabaldon.

Nueva Ecija Provincial Director PCol Ritchie R. Claravall said the intensified operations will continue across the province, warning lawbreakers to face the consequences.

All suspects and confiscated evidence remain in police custody for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
