Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) arrests three wanted persons, including two regional most wanted fugitives, in intelligence-driven manhunt operations across Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte and La Union.

Three wanted persons, including two regional most wanted fugitives, were arrested in separate intelligence-driven manhunt operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) in Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, and La Union on July 9.

The operations were carried out as part of PRO1's intensified campaign against wanted persons under its Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. Framework.

Among those arrested was the Top 7 Regional Most Wanted Person, a driver and resident of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. He was apprehended by operatives of the City Mobile Force Company, with assistance from Police Station 5, the City Intelligence Unit, and the City Intelligence and Detection Management Unit of the Dagupan City Police Office.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest for three counts of acts of lasciviousness, each carrying a recommended bail of P180,000, and one count of qualified rape of a minor through sexual assault, which carries a recommended bail of P200,000.

In Ilocos Norte, tracker teams from the Bangui Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Intelligence Unit arrested the Top 10 Regional Most Wanted Person, a student originally from Bangui who is now residing in Batac City.

The suspect is facing a charge of statutory rape, a case for which no bail was recommended by the court.

Meanwhile, in La Union, personnel of the Rosario Municipal Police Station arrested the Top 2 Most Wanted Person of Rosario. The suspect, a miner originally from Itogon, Benguet, who now resides in Rosario, is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, with a recommended bail of P120,000.

Police said all three suspects were informed of the reasons for their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights before being taken to their respective police stations for documentation and other custodial procedures prior to their presentation before the courts.

PRO1 Regional Director PBGen. Jovencio S. Badua Jr. said the relentless pursuit of wanted persons remains one of the regional police force's top priorities in maintaining peace, order, and public safety.

"Through the implementation of our Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. Framework, PRO1 remains steadfast in tracking down and arresting wanted persons as part of our sustained campaign against criminality. We will continue to enforce the law impartially to ensure that every offender is held accountable before the courts," Badua said.
