TP lights up Bacolaodiat Festival

TP in the Philippines reinforced its commitment to cultural inclusion and community engagement with its support of this year’s Bacolaodiat Festival, one of the city’s largest celebrations marking the Chinese New Year.

The three-day festival, organized by the local government and Bacolod’s Filipino-Chinese community, drew thousands of residents and visitors to the city center for traditional performances, food fairs, cultural exhibits and corporate booths highlighting shared heritage and prosperity.

TERRY the Tarsier welcomes onlookers as festivalgoers explore TP’s interactive and culturally inspired experience booths during the three-day Bacolaodiat Festival.

Building on its participation last year, TP expanded its presence in this year’s festivities by setting up interactive and immersive booths designed to engage festivalgoers through culturally inspired visuals, games and storytelling elements centered on the significance of the Chinese New Year.

“Bacolod has been one of TP’s key hubs in the Philippines for many years, and our presence at the Bacolaodiat Festival reflects our deep roots in the city. We invested in this celebration not only to honor its rich cultural heritage, but to reaffirm our long-term commitment to a community that has played a vital role in our growth, bringing together tradition and innovation in a way that reflects who we are today,” TP in the Philippines senior marketing manager Levi Trio said.

Among the highlights was the Interactive Zodiac Match Game, a digital challenge where guests raced against the clock to match the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs. Festivalgoers also lined up for the “Fortune & Frosting” Virtual Tarot Reading booth and the Virtual Lucky Ang Pau, where participants had the chance to win exclusive TP merchandise in red envelopes.

From photo-ready installations inspired by Chinese symbols of luck and abundance to tech-driven activities, TP’s booths became a steady crowd-drawer throughout the celebration.
