In a posthumous interview released Friday, actor Eric Dane delivered what he described as his “last words” to his two daughters — a message of love and life lessons filmed months before his death and aired on Netflix’s “Famous Last Words.”

Dane, 53, known for his roles on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Euphoria,” died on 19 February 2026 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurological disease he publicly disclosed in 2025.

The interview was recorded in November under an agreement that it would only be released after his passing. In the segment, Dane addressed his daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, outlining four lessons he hoped would guide them.

He urged them to live in the present, a principle shaped by his experience facing ALS. He encouraged them to fall in love broadly — not only with a partner, but with a passion that brings purpose and joy, recalling how acting sustained him even in difficult times.

Dane also emphasized choosing friends wisely, underscoring the importance of genuine support systems. Finally, he advised them to fight life’s battles with dignity, reflecting his own resolve throughout his illness.

In his closing message, Dane said: “Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words.”

Tributes poured in following the release, with friends, family and fans honoring his career and advocacy for ALS awareness. “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson was among those who reportedly contributed to a fundraiser established for Dane’s daughters.

The interview stands as both a farewell to his family and a broader reflection on resilience and love in the face of mortality.
