Jia Morado-De Guzman not only orchestrated Creamline’s fluid offensive flow but also contributed on points for the Cool Smasher’s second straight win in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The decorated setter tallied 25 excellent sets and scored 10 points as Creamline turned back ZUS Coffee in a come-from-behind, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-18, victory to improve to a 2-1 win-loss record.
Three other Cool Smashers reached double figure scoring with Bernadeth Pons pounding in 16 of her 19 points on kills while adding 16 digs. Tots Carlos had 12 markers and Jema Galanza got 11 for Creamline.
The Cool Smashers recovered from a slow start in the fourth frame, uncorking a closing 14-4 run to finish the nearly two-hour match.
“Of course, happy because the win is a result of complete team effort. Even the bench delivered,” Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses.
Chinnie Arroyo and Thea Gagate fired 18 and 11 points, respectively, for the Thunderbelles.
Their efforts, however, weren’t enough to save ZUS Coffee from sliding to a 1-3 card tied with Choco Mucho.
