Budget air carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) is targeting a full transition to SAP Cloud ERP Private by the third quarter of 2027, as it upgrades its finance and operations systems under a wider digital transformation to support growth.
The airline signed an agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting Services Philippines Co. Ltd. (PwC Philippines) to implement the unified, cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform across the entire CEB group.
In a statement on Thursday, PwC Philippines said the shift will allow real-time data access and improve decision-making as Cebu Pacific’s operations continue to expand.
The overhaul will cover Cebu Air Inc., CebGo Inc., 1Aviation Groundhandling Services Corp., and Aviation Partnership (Philippines) Corp.
The agreement was signed by CEB Chief Financial Officer Mark Cezar and PwC Consulting Services Philippines Co. Ltd. Managing Principal Veronica Bartolome, with CEB Chief Executive Officer Michael Szucs, PwC Southeast Asia SAP Lead Dave Chen, and PwC Consulting Philippines SAP Partner Karthik Viswanathan in attendance.
Bartolome said the shift to SAP Cloud ERP Private will integrate finance operations and strengthen oversight as the airline grows.
“We’re very excited about this project, as it will elevate Cebu Pacific’s digital maturity and strengthen its competitive advantage. Through this partnership, we are enabling the airline’s finance and operational teams to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively,” Bartolome said.
Meanwhile, Cezar said: “As Cebu Pacific sustains its growth, we need systems that can keep pace with the scale and complexity of our operations. This transformation strengthens how we manage resources and make decisions across the business, enabling a more consistent experience for our customers.”
The transformation will cover finance, risk and treasury, procurement, supply chain, flight operations, sales, asset and cash management, and regulatory compliance.
Under the RISE with SAP program, CEB will migrate its core systems to the cloud to improve efficiency, resiliency, and scalability.
PwC Consulting Philippines, an SAP Platinum and RISE with SAP-validated partner, was selected as the implementing partner.
