PHLPost grows nationwide presence

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is strengthening access to essential government services by expanding its postal network in both urban centers and geographically isolated communities, reinforcing the State’s presence at the grassroots level.

THE Matina Davao Post Office along General Douglas MacArthur Highway in Matina Crossing, Davao City, opened in 2026, with PHLPost personnel shown during operations at the newly inaugurated facility.

Newly opened facilities include the Macrohon Post Office at the Municipal Hall in Barangay San Vicente (Poblacion), Macrohon, Southern Leyte; the Matina Davao City Post Office along General Douglas MacArthur Highway in Matina Crossing, Davao City; the Limasawa Island Post Office in Southern Leyte; and the Baco Postal Station in the municipality of Baco, Oriental Mindoro.

PHLPost said the expansion supports its mandate as the country’s primary last-mile delivery service provider, particularly in areas where access to basic government and logistics services remains limited. By establishing postal facilities in remote and developing localities, the corporation aims to ensure that public services remain within reach of communities often underserved by private providers.

OPENED in 2026, the Limasawa Island Postal Station in Southern Leyte is seen with PHLPost personnel as the facility begins serving island communities.

Beyond mail and parcel delivery, the newly established post offices bring government-linked services closer to residents, including express mail services, Postal ID processing, and other transactions essential to daily life, local trade, and public administration. The move also suppoCCCCCCrts small businesses and local enterprises that rely on reliable logistics to connect with wider markets.

Under the leadership of Acting Postmaster General Maximo Sta. Maria III, PHLPost has prioritized expanding its physical footprint while modernizing operations to improve service reliability and efficiency across its delivery network.
