It will be firepower against experience when Capital1 and Nxled take centerstage in an explosive clash for a share of the lead in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference today at the Ynares Center-Montalban.

Coming off contrasting opening-day victories, the two squads meet in the main game at 6:30 p.m., with both clubs eyeing to join Cignal on top of the heap.

Meanwhile, Galeries Tower and ZUS Coffee try to barge into the win column at 4 p.m.

Top rookie pick Bella Belen unleashed her scoring prowess in the Solar Spikers’ 25-17, 25-16, 15-25, 25-19, win over the Thunderbelles last Tuesday.

Belen, who blasted 26 points including 24 coming from kills, will have a solid backup with Ysa Jimenez, Shaya Adorador and Pauline Gaston — all ready to deliver the goods for Capital1.

“We have a more competitive team right now. Everyone’s willing to learn, willing to make an effort to perform well and score wins,” Belen said.

The retooled Chameleons, on the other hand, went through the wringer before essaying a 25-23, 13-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12 escape over Farm Fresh.

Three-time Most Valuable Player Brooke Van Sickle, who blasted 20 points in her first game for Nxled following her transfer from last year’s champion Petro Gazz, is in for a shootout with Belen.

Van Sickle is backstopped by a seasoned crew led by Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips, along with youngbloods Lyann de Guzman and setter Jules Tolentino.

Chameleons’ head coach Ettore Guidetti believes his squad is capable of turning its fortunes around following a listless campaign in the mid-season Reinforced Conference.

“The difference about Nxled in this conference is simple to define. This is a team that wants to arrive and to play to the top for the whole conference,” the Italian mentor boldly stated.

“Before, Nxled was trying to find its own identity, to understand if it was a team to stay on the bottom, or like in the PVL on Tour in the first six. So, it was kind of different in a way.”

On the other hand, ZUS Coffee is eager to bounce back from a poor start.

The Reinforced Conference runners-up are banking on 2024 top overall pick Thea Gagate, Riza Nogales, Jovelyn Gonzaga and Chinnie Arroyo to play on the top of their game to notch their first win.

The Highrisers, meanwhile, are coming off a 17-25, 14-25, 11-25, drubbing at the hands of Cignal last week.

Erika Deloria, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and Erika Raagas will need to produce more to get Galeries Tower going.
