Geely is preparing to introduce five new vehicle models in 2026 after closing a milestone year in the local market.
At a year-end briefing, Geely senior sales director Joey Zhu said 2025 marked several key moments for the brand. The year coincided with Geely Group’s 39th anniversary, its sixth year in the country, and its first year operating locally as a direct subsidiary.
The local plans follow a strong year for Geely Auto Group globally. In 2025, the group recorded total sales of 3.02 million vehicles, up 39 percent from the previous year.
New energy vehicle sales reached 1.68 million units, an increase of 90 percent year on year. Zhu said the growth in electrified vehicles supports the company’s outlook for the local market.
Geely has already begun direct operations and introduced the EX5, its first new energy vehicle sold locally. For 2026, the company plans to expand its lineup across several segments.
The upcoming models will include SUVs, hatchbacks, and sedans, with battery electric, plug-in hybrid, and internal combustion options.
The first major launch scheduled for 2026 will be a plug-in hybrid SUV. Zhu said the model will feature a premium interior and exterior design, along with a hybrid system aimed at everyday use.
The brand has set a sales target of 7,000 units for 2026. To support this goal, it plans to expand its dealer network to more than 40 locations nationwide.
Geely has also invested in after-sales operations. The company built a 4,500-square-meter parts warehouse, stocked about US$5 million worth of components, and maintains an inventory of 1.3 million stock-keeping units.
Geely entered the local market in 2019 and has delivered vehicles to more than 30,000 customers to date.
