The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) on Thursday officially launched the TESDA Skills Passport, a mobile-first digital solution aimed at streamlining training, certification, employment, and scholarship services for Filipinos.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally unveiled the TESDA Skills Passport mobile app, saying his administration will continue expanding scholarships and skills training programs. He noted that nearly P20 billion has been allocated to TESDA in 2026, the largest budget in the agency’s history.
“Through the TESDA Skills Passport, we will have an all-in-one digital platform. Dito makikita ninyo ang mga mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, at TESDA online training courses," Marcos said during the launch at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center in San Juan.
The TESDA Skills Passport allows users to plan their training, study online, and apply for scholarships through a single platform.
“For our TESDA scholars, you will have your own digital storage that would prove that your National Certificate and training are authentic,” Marcos said, adding that the app features an artificial intelligence assistant that can respond to user queries at any time.
According to the President, the app also functions as a job portal, connecting TESDA-certified individuals with employers and industry partners nationwide.
Marcos assured the public that the TESDA Skills Passport mobile app is secure and that all user data and credentials are protected.
The TESDA Skills Passport is designed as a comprehensive digital platform that integrates learning, certification, employment, and scholarship services. It allows users to build verified digital identities, track progress, search for opportunities, and access government support more easily.
The platform was developed and will be maintained by TESDA’s Information and Communication Technology Office. The TESDA Skills Passport mobile app is now available for download on Android and iOS devices.
TESDA Director General Kiko Benitez described the app as part of the agency’s broader push to modernize technical-vocational education and training and improve access to skills development for Filipino learners and workers.
Since assuming office in August 2024, Benitez has emphasized the need to strengthen the link between training and employment and align technical-vocational programs with the evolving demands of industries. He said the launch marks a significant step toward achieving that goal.
“Skills are the engine of opportunity, and with the TESDA Skills Passport, verification of and training and certifications are now strengthened. With this super app, skills are now more accessible and visible, so we can better ensure that Training leads to Jobs,” Benitez said.
