First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos recently inaugurated the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls at the International Trade Center Complex on Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, launching a year-round space dedicated to showcasing the finest Filipino products, design and craftsmanship.
The First Lady was joined by her husband, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos.
The new showroom is considered a rebirth of the PhilTrade Center, launched in 1979 under the leadership of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, which housed the country’s top export products, such as furniture and furnishings, gifts, toys, housewares, apparel, fashion, accessories, food, and industrial goods, through the support of the then Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The first family led the ribbon-cutting ceremony together with Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque; Assistant Secretary Al Valenciano; Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions executive director Leah Pulido Ocampo; Design Center of the Philippines executive director Rhea Matute; and National Commission for Culture and the Arts chairman Eric Zerrudo.
The event continued with a guided tour of the galleries, live craft demonstrations, performances, and a mini fashion show.
Strategically timed with the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairship, Likhang Filipino serves as a premier gateway for welcoming foreign delegations and projecting Filipino excellence to the country’s regional and global partners.
Likhang Filipino redefines year-round sourcing across an expansive 8,000-square-meter venue.
Showcasing 200 enterprises and a curated selection of 2,000 products, the hub brings together the best of IFEX Philippines and Manila FAME, offering global buyers a seamless gateway to the country’s most innovative and heritage-rich brands.
Partnering with Likhang Filipino provides exhibitors with turnkey retail space, expert design mentorship, and dual revenue streams through direct selling and institutional order fulfillment.
