Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. received Brazil Defense Attaché Capt. Luciano da Silva Maciel during an introductory call Tuesday at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
The courtesy call provided an opportunity for both military officials to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, including defense cooperation and ways to strengthen professional military engagement between the Philippines and Brazil.
Brawner welcomed Maciel and expressed the AFP’s appreciation for continued dialogue and collaboration with partner nations, emphasizing the importance of constructive defense relations anchored on mutual respect and shared interests.
He said the AFP remains committed to advancing meaningful defense engagements that contribute to regional and international peace, stability and cooperation.
