DMCI Power sets P2.4B growth push

DMCI Power Corp. is accelerating investments this year following a record year, signaling a more aggressive push to expand capacity and capture rising demand in off-grid areas.

In a stock exchange report on Monday, the Consunji-led off-grid energy provider has lined up a P2.4-billion capital expenditure program this year to build new hybrid, renewable, and conventional power facilities across its service areas.

The investment drive comes after the company posted its highest energy sales on record in 2025 at 522.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh), up 6 percent from 491.2 GWh in 2024, driven by new wind and thermal capacity.

“Delivering our highest sales for the 15th consecutive year reflects the growing demand in off-grid areas and our continued focus in providing reliable, cost-efficient power,” DPC President Antonino E. Gatdula, Jr. said.

“The inclusion of wind power in our portfolio supports the Department of Energy’s thrust to accelerate the development and commercialization of renewable energy, especially in the off-grid areas.”

DMCI Power is a wholly owned subsidiary of DMCI Holdings, Inc., operating thermal, bunker, diesel, and wind power plants in Masbate, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique, with a total installed capacity of 188.3 megawatts.
