Leading Philippine industrial firms are turning to the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) as a model for operational standards, with AboitizPower’s GN Power Dinginin becoming the latest to conduct benchmarking activities at the site.
The Freeport Area of Bataan Port Services Division served as a resource speaker for GN Power Dinginin’s “Amplify to Comply v.2.0,” an initiative designed to bolster regulatory awareness among its employees.
The session updated participants on port service processes and specific freeport regulations to improve compliance and operational coordination with registered enterprises.
It focuses on upgrading internal processes, security measures, and documentation to align with evolving legal and industry standards. This transformation involves moving away from foundational policies toward specialized tools that enhance data privacy, security, and risk management.
Key aspects of the strategy include a four-week timeline for evaluating current practices and implementing updated policies. The program aims to build trust by strengthening security protocols, documenting procedures, and managing third-party risks while ensuring the regulated use of information.
The compliance framework also utilizes cloud infrastructure, encryption and audit reports, such as SOC and HIPAA, to meet technical requirements.
Additionally, tools like Amplify Defender are used to automate portfolio oversight and monitor transactions, ensuring strict adherence to regulations.
Freeport officials said the approach shifts compliance from a simple checklist into a proactive organizational strategy. The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan stated it remains committed to working with its partners to support sustainable operations and a culture of regulatory excellence.
