The Philippines participation in the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, gave Filipino businesses a stronger voice and a clearer intent. Among the Filipino leaders contributing to global conversations this year is Hannah Yulo-Luccini, chief executive officer of Hotel101 Global, whose participation underscores how homegrown enterprises can compete internationally.

AT THE World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Hannah Yulo-Luccini represents the Philippines, showcasing sustainable hospitality and global Filipino leadership.

It also gave the company the opportunity to showcase the true spirit of Filipino hospitality through sustainability and technology.

Yulo Luccini represented Hotel101 Global during the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, as part of the local delegation that coincided with the country’s first Philippine Pavilion at the forum.

On the afternoon of the first day, she spoke in one of the featured sessions titled “From Partnerships to Hypergrowth: The New Era of Sustainable Hospitality,” held at the Invest Philippines Business Pavilion.

The discussion focused on how hospitality companies can expand across borders without compromising long-term responsibility. For Yulo Luccini, the message was deeply personal and rooted in years of building a Filipino-led brand that has successfully moved beyond the local market. Hotel101 Global’s growth story is anchored on a clear principle. Sustainability is not a trend. It is a business strategy.

“So Davos is really the forum for thought leaders globally. You know decision makers in our industry. And you know it, sustainability is an imperative long-term strategy for hospitality globally,” she said during the forum.

At Hotel101 Global, sustainability is embedded at the design stage. The company develops standardized 500-room hotels that allow efficiency, technology and environmental considerations to scale together. “At Hotel 101 Global, we build 500 room hotels at scale. But from day one, they’re designed in a green sustainable manner. We’re able to roll out really green technology and make a bigger impact globally,” Yulo Luccini explained.

Speaking in the Davos event, she emphasized that sustainable design is not a cost burden but a competitive advantage. “Davos allows us to prove to the world that sustainability is not a cost. It’s how we build our hotels that last and win. And talks like these matter in the future of inclusive tourism.”

Her participation at the World Economic Forum 2026 highlighted more than just a panel appearance.

It reflected the steady rise of Hotel101 Global as one of the most ambitious Filipino hospitality brands to enter the global market.

Showcase of Pinoy hospitality

As the international hotel arm of DoubleDragon Corporation, Hotel101 Global has become a platform for exporting a uniquely Filipino approach to hospitality that prioritizes consistency, value and long-term growth.

Yulo Luccini has been with the DoubleDragon Group for over nine years and previously led key fundraising efforts that helped build a diversified real estate portfolio valued at approximately $3 billion.

Today, she leads Hotel101 Global’s international expansion, overseeing projects in multiple regions while maintaining a disciplined and scalable model.

Hotel101 Global’s expansion includes the 482 room Hotel101 Niseko in Japan and the 680 room Hotel101 Madrid in Spain, with additional developments underway and planned in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Strategic partnerships play a crucial role in this growth. One of the most significant is the agreement with Saudi Arabia based Horizon Group to develop thousands of hotel rooms across the Kingdom, reinforcing the brand’s presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism markets.

Technology sits at the heart of this expansion. Hotel101 Global operates an asset light prop tech hospitality model that integrates standardized development with digital efficiency.

Its proprietary mobile application supports reservations, guest services, loyalty programs, dynamic pricing, and self check in. This allows the brand to deliver a consistent guest experience while streamlining operations across countries.

Nasdaq listing a milestone

A major milestone in Hotel101 Global’s journey came in 2025 when the company received approval to list on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.

Trading began on 1 July 2025 under the ticker symbol HBNB, making Hotel101 the first Filipino owned company to be listed and traded on Nasdaq.

With a deemed equity value of $2.3 billion at closing, the listing marked a breakthrough moment for Filipino enterprise on the global financial stage.

Yulo Luccini’s return to Davos, Switzerland in 2026 builds on earlier international engagements, including her participation in 2023 when she presented the Hotel101 concept to diplomats and business leaders in Europe.

These appearances form part of a broader effort to position Filipino businesses as credible, scalable, and competitive partners in the global economy.

Filipino companies are no longer content with being regional players.

Business leaders like Yulo Luccini and brands like Hotel101 Global, they are actively shaping global conversations on sustainability, innovation and growth.

As Hotel101 Global continues to expand across continents, Yulo Luccini’s leadership reflects a new chapter for Filipino hospitality. One that proves it is possible to grow at scale, embrace sustainability through technology, and remain true to the values that define the Filipino spirit of service.
