Police are investigating reports of an improvised incendiary device thrown at a residential compound in Taguig City earlier this week.

The Taguig City Police Station launched the probe after a video of the incident began circulating on social media. The post was flagged by the department’s cyber patrolling team, prompting officers to verify the report on Thursday.

According to investigators, the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Tuesday along Cabasaan Street, near the boundary of Barangay South Signal and Barangay Central Signal.

The resident, identified by police as 24-year-old SCB, said he and his companions were inside their compound when a group of unidentified men arrived and began causing a disturbance.

One of the individuals allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail in front of the gate before the group fled.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

Officers from Police Sub-Station 6, in coordination with village security forces, are reviewing closed-circuit television footage in the area to identify the suspects.

Authorities said they are working to determine the appropriate charges once the individuals are apprehended.

Taguig police have increased patrol operations and visibility in the neighborhood while the investigation continues. Officials urged residents to report any suspicious activity to the local station.
