Pangasinan MSMEs get SB Corp. loan access

Disaster-hit small businesses in Pangasinan are getting direct access to recovery financing as government agencies bring loan processing closer to the ground through a one-day application drive.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pangasinan, in partnership with Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.), rolled out the Enterprise Rehabilitation Financing (ERF) Loan Application Roadshow to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rebuild after recent typhoon damage on 29 January 2026 at the Dagupan City National High School Covered Court, Dagupan City.

The activity allows business owners to complete loan applications on-site, with government representatives guiding them through requirements and document submission. The initiative targets enterprises operating in areas declared under a state of calamity, many of which are seeking additional working capital to resume operations.

Applicants are being assisted in preparing basic requirements such as identification cards, business permits, and proof of bank accounts. For larger loan requests, additional financial documents are required, while corporate applicants must submit organizational records.

Program guidelines also require senior applicants to apply with a co-borrower from their immediate family, while all participants are advised to maintain active digital access to facilitate processing and future transactions.

Officials said the roadshow reflects a shift toward more accessible financing delivery, reducing the need for business owners to travel or navigate complex procedures on their own.

The effort forms part of a broader push to speed up business recovery in typhoon-affected areas, with authorities aiming to restore economic activity by ensuring that small enterprises—considered the backbone of local economies—can quickly regain operational capacity.
