Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the breakout stars of the hit romance series Heated Rivalry, are set to take part in one of the most symbolic traditions of the Winter Games after being named official torchbearers for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Torch Relay.
The announcement, confirmed by HBO Max, places the two actors on the global Olympic stage ahead of the Games’ opening ceremony on 6 February in Milan. Specific details on when and where Williams and Storrie will carry the torch have yet to be disclosed.
Heated Rivalry, a Crave Original series distributed globally by Sphere Abacus, follows two rival hockey players whose on-ice tension evolves into a forbidden romance. Since its U.S. premiere in late November, the series has gained a fervent international following, propelling both leads into mainstream recognition. The surge in popularity has translated into high-profile appearances, sold-out copies of Rachel Reid’s original book series, and a confirmed second season.
The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 will stream on HBO Max across several European territories, including Italy and Germany, marking the platform’s first Olympic coverage in those markets. In the United States, the Games will air on NBC and stream on Peacock.
Reflecting on the show’s momentum following its renewal, Storrie previously said he hopes future episodes remain faithful to the source material.
“These are obviously really well-constructed stories that a lot of people are really into,” he said. “The only way to make this make sense is to stick to the books and also honor the fandom of the people who are really spearheading this whole thing.”
