Veteran winger Myla Pablo looks forward to additional learning, playing under a new system, and working with another foreign coach following her transfer to Nxled.
The six-time Premier Volleyball League (PVL) champion joined the Chameleons after Petro Gazz took a leave of absence ahead of the 2026 All-Filipino Conference opening on 31 January.
Bringing in a wealth of experience, all eyes will be on Pablo as she tries to lead Nxled alongside other former Angels led by three-time Most Valuable Player Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips to a breakthrough title.
But what excites the 32-year-old open spiker the most is the challenge of building chemistry with new teammates and fitting into the system of Italian head coach Ettore Guidetti.
“I’m super excited to be with young players and I’m excited to learn from them. And also as a veteran, I hope I’ll be able share with them my experiences and, of course, for them to learn a thing or two from me,” the two-time conference MVP said.
“I’m really excited also to work with coach Ettore. I know it’s a new system but for sure the adjustment will be seamless.
Pablo is with her fifth club after previously suiting up for three-time champion Pocari Sweat, Motolite, F2 Logistics and four-time titlist Petro Gazz, where she won three championships.
The National University product has played under Filipino coaches as well as international mentors in ex-Angels tacticians Japanese Koji Tsuzurabara and American Gary Van Sickle.
“I played for Filipino, Japanese and American coaches before. Now I’m learning from an Italian. So, I’m really happy and excited,” she said.
Pablo is among the 11 Petro Gazz players to sign with the Chameleons, who are trying to turn their fortunes around after a winless campaign in the Reinforced Conference.
