BTS have officially announced their long-awaited return in 2026, confirming plans for a new album and a global tour — news that has immediately sparked one big question among Filipino fans: Will the Philippines finally be included in the group’s comeback tour?

“March 20 comeback confirmed,” the group’s label Big Hit Music shared in a post on X, marking BTS’ first studio album since 2020’s Be and their first release since the 2022 anthology Proof.

Even before the official announcement, all seven members already fueled anticipation through handwritten New Year messages sent to fans, each hinting at a long-awaited reunion and teasing the now-confirmed 20 March 2026 date.

BTS merchandise and memorabilia are popular among loyal ARMYs.

“We’ve waited more earnestly than anyone else,” RM wrote, while Jimin added, “The year we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived.” V echoed the excitement, saying, “In 2026, we’ll make even more good (sic) memories, so look forward to it!” The messages resonated deeply with ARMY worldwide, including Filipino fans who have waited nearly a decade to see BTS return as a full group.

BIGHIT MUSIC revealed that the members have been working together in the studio since July, with the upcoming album expected to “reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas.” The company noted that RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook were “deeply involved in the creation of the songs,” contributing their “own thoughts and colors” while “musically expressing the emotions and struggles they have experienced along their journey.”

The album will feature 14 tracks “packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share with ARMY” and “filled with the music that’s most true to BTS.”

As excitement builds, BTS also confirmed plans for a new world tour, with the full schedule set to be revealed on 14 January, at 12 a.m. During a full-group Weverse live broadcast on 31 December, the members reflected on the year and shared their hopes moving forward, saying, “We hope to make a safe comeback this year and that the album does well. Let’s make BTS a huge success.”

For Filipino fans, the tour announcement carries special weight. The last time BTS performed in Manila as a complete group was during The Wings Tour on 6 to 7 May 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena. While J-Hope returned to the same venue for a solo concert in 2025, many Filo ARMYs continue to hope for a full-group comeback on Philippine soil.

Supporters point to the Philippines’ reputation as one of BTS’ most passionate fanbases. Filipino fans are widely known for their loud, synchronized fanchants and nonstop energy, often transforming concerts into unforgettable experiences.

Filo ARMYs say this unwavering enthusiasm, combined with years of loyalty and waiting, is exactly why the Philippines deserves a spot on BTS’ upcoming comeback tour — making a Manila stop not just hoped for, but long overdue.
