PAL tops Asia for on-time flights

Are you one of the passengers tired of delayed flights? Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) latest industry recognition suggests smoother, more reliable trips ahead, after the flag carrier was named Asia-Pacific’s most on-time airline for 2025.

PAL reported on Monday that it posted an on-time arrival performance of 83.12 percent—the highest in the region—based on independently verified data from global aviation analytics firm Cirium.

The ranking sets PAL apart in Asia-Pacific, one of the world’s toughest aviation markets, where airlines routinely grapple with weather disruptions, congested airspace, and limited airport infrastructure.

Cirium’s On-Time Performance program, now in its 17th year, is widely considered the industry benchmark for airline reliability, tracking millions of flights worldwide using transparent and objective methodologies.

“This achievement reflects the discipline, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire organization, particularly our frontline teams who operate our flights safely and reliably every day,” said Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc.

“It also reflects what can be achieved through strong collaboration with our private sector partners, including MacroAsia Corporation, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., and LIPAD Corp, as well as the continued support of our government partners.”

PAL said punctuality remains a core commitment to passengers, driven by tight coordination across flight operations, engineering, airport services, ground handling, and customer-facing and corporate support teams.
