TANGERANG, Indonesia — VinFast has expanded its after-sales network in Indonesia after signing agreements with five service and parts providers, a move aimed at strengthening support for its growing electric vehicle customer base in the country.
The memoranda of understanding were signed in Tangerang on November 26 and involve VinFast Indonesia partnering with Goodyear Indonesia, Dunlop, Denso Sales Indonesia, CARfix and Scuto Paint. Each partner will take on a specific role within VinFast’s after-sales setup, covering routine maintenance, repairs and body work.
Goodyear Indonesia will supply tires for VinFast electric vehicles and provide maintenance and inspection services through its service center network. The partnership covers periodic checks intended to support vehicle performance and day-to-day usability.
Dunlop will certify selected Dunlop Shops as authorized VinFast service workshops. These sites will handle EV maintenance, software updates, tire replacement, charging-related support, and general vehicle care.
VinFast said the existing reach of Dunlop’s service network allows customers to access support in more areas without relying only on dedicated brand facilities.
Denso Sales Indonesia will also operate authorized VinFast service workshops. Its role includes repair and maintenance work carried out under VinFast standards, along with technician training and technical support.
The company’s workshop footprint across Indonesia is expected to help maintain consistent service quality as VinFast’s vehicle population grows.
CARfix will focus on routine after-sales services such as scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, wheel alignment, and general repairs. Work will be handled by technicians trained under VinFast guidelines, using procedures aligned with the brand’s requirements.
Scuto Paint has been named VinFast’s official body and paint partner in Indonesia. The company will handle body repair and repainting for VinFast vehicles, supported by facilities equipped for electric vehicle work.
Its locations in major cities are expected to provide coverage beyond Metro areas.
VinFast Indonesia chief executive Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto said the partnerships form part of the company’s effort to build a standardized after-sales system as it expands locally.
He said the agreements are intended to support customers while preparing the brand for longer-term growth in the market.
VinFast entered Indonesia in 2024 and has identified the country as a key market in Southeast Asia.
Alongside vehicle sales, the company has been building out service coverage, charging support, and ownership programs to support early EV adopters. Its service presence currently includes Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and other areas.
This mirrors how after-sales support has become a key discussion point in the Philippines as well. In the local market, EV brands have faced close scrutiny over service access outside Metro Manila, with buyers often asking where vehicles can be maintained and repaired long term.
VinFast Philippines has been expanding its own service touchpoints alongside showroom growth, reflecting a broader regional shift where after-sales readiness now carries as much weight as product launch plans.
As Philippine consumers watch developments in neighboring markets, Indonesia’s approach offers a reference on how EV brands are prioritizing service networks early rather than treating them as a later add-on.
