Porsche 911 GT3 now in Phl

The all-new Porsche 911 GT3 is now available in the Philippines. The latest version of Porsche’s track-focused road car was formally unveiled by PGA Cars Inc., the brand’s local distributor.

The GT3 remains the most driver-focused version of the 911as it continues to rely on a naturally aspirated engine, rear-wheel drive, and a setup shaped by motorsport practice. Comfort takes a back seat to feedback, balance, and control. The 992.2 update keeps that formula intact.

Power comes from a 4.0-liter flat-six engine rated at 510 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The engine drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

Buyers may also opt for a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. Vehicle weight stands at 1,420 kilograms. Porsche achieved this figure through the use of aluminum wheels and a lithium-ion battery.

Aerodynamic changes are visible across the body. The front end features revised aero components such as a new diffuser, spoiler lip, and underbody fins. These updates improve airflow and increase downforce.

MOTION captures the 911 GT3 on track, where its motorsport roots and Nürburgring-tested performance come through clearly.

The Matrix LED headlamps now combine all lighting functions into one unit. This layout freed up space for larger front air intakes.

Changes continue at the rear. Porsche fitted a redesigned diffuser, revised cooling inlets, and wing side plates with a new angle. These updates support airflow management and help maintain cooling during extended high-speed driving.

The chassis received several updates as well. The front suspension uses a double-wishbone design with aerodynamically shaped trailing arms. These components come from the GT3 RS. The setup improves high-speed stability and supports brake cooling.

Porsche also repositioned the ball-joint mountings. This reduces pitching during heavy braking and helps keep the car settled.

The GT3’s performance credentials were proven at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Porsche development driver Jörg Bergmeister completed a lap of the 20.832-kilometer circuit in 6 minutes and 56.294 seconds.

The car used for the run was equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and the Weissach Package. The time now stands as the fastest Nürburgring lap recorded by a production car with a manual gearbox.
