The Philippine Navy has deployed two of its vessels, BRP Laguna (LS-501) and BRP Dagupan City (LS-551), to conduct maritime patrol and logistics operations in support of ongoing naval missions across the country from 28 to 30 December.

Naval Public Affairs chief Commander Marie Angelica Sisican said the BRP Laguna carried out a maritime patrol and sealift mission within its area of responsibility in Palawan on 28 December.

The operation supported troop rotation and re-provisioning activities in the Kalayaan Island Group, including the transport of fuel and other essential supplies, while simultaneously conducting maritime sovereignty patrols to help ensure security and stability in Philippine waters.

Meanwhile, BRP Dagupan City undertook a logistics run on December 30, transporting vital cargoes to Zamboanga City and Polloc, Parang in Maguindanao.

The mission aimed to sustain operational readiness and logistical support for naval units and partner forces in Mindanao.

The Philippine Navy said the missions underscore its continuing efforts to maintain a strong maritime presence, ensure mobility support, and safeguard the country’s maritime interests through routine and mission-oriented naval operations throughout the archipelago.
