The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday reported the arrest of 116 individuals following a sustained series of law enforcement operations conducted from 21 to 27 December 2025.

QCPD Acting District Director Randy Glenn Silvio said the weeklong anti-crime initiative focused on suppressing illegal drugs, pursuing wanted persons, curbing loose firearms, and dismantling illegal gambling activities across Quezon City.

During the period, QCPD units conducted 30 anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 53 suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs worth P497,284. Authorities also apprehended 27 wanted persons, including 17 most wanted individuals and 10 other fugitives.

Police also carried out four anti-illegal firearms operations, resulting in four arrests and the recovery of four firearms, and mounted 23 anti-gambling operations that led to the arrest of 32 individuals and the seizure of P10,428 in bet money.

Among the notable arrests were alias “Lucerio,” apprehended by Masambong Police Station 2 for violation of P.D. 1602 or the Anti-Gambling Law after eight years of evading arrest; alias “Norman,” the No. 2 Most Wanted Person of Payatas-Bagong Silangan Police Station 13, arrested for statutory rape after seven years in hiding; and alias “Frederick,” the No. 3 Most Wanted Person of Project 6 Police Station 15, arrested for violation of R.A. 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, also after seven years of evasion.

All arrested individuals have been properly turned over to the courts, with charges filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of R.A. 9165, R.A. 10591, and P.D. 1602.

“Through our focused and sustained law enforcement operations during the holiday season, coupled with the unwavering dedication of our personnel, the QCPD remains steadfast in its mission to maintain peace and order and ensure a safer and more secure Quezon City for all its residents and visitors,” Silvio said.
