Security Bank Corporation is accelerating its technology transformation as it ramps up investments in modern digital architecture, artificial intelligence, real-time data platforms, cybersecurity, and automation.

In a statement, the bank said that over the first nine months of 2025, it streamlined core systems and processes, resulting in faster transaction speeds, improved reliability, stronger compliance efficiency, and enhanced service delivery. These initiatives have earned Security Bank multiple regional recognitions, underscoring its push to position itself as a future-ready financial institution.

Among the highlights is the bank’s Enterprise API Platform, which won the Technology Excellence Award for API–Banking at the 2025 Asian Technology Excellence Awards. The platform converts key banking functions into secure, reusable application programming interfaces, allowing faster rollout of new services, smoother integrations across digital channels, and improved readiness for Open Banking.

Security Bank also modernized its compliance and branch operations through its Transactor Due Diligence platform, which was named Best Compliance Risk Technology Initiative at The Asian Banker Global Financial Technology Awards. Now deployed across 346 branches, the fully digitized know-your-customer workflow has reduced processing time, improved customer experience, strengthened compliance integrity, and eliminated paper-based processes.

On the data front, the bank’s shift from batch processing to real-time streaming earned it recognition as the Best Data Integration and Framework Initiative in Asia Pacific from The Asian Banker. The real-time data streaming platform enables instant insights, faster transactions, and enterprise-grade analytics, placing Security Bank among a small group of Philippine banks operating advanced streaming architectures.

The bank said these initiatives collectively mark its transition toward a platform-based, API-enabled, and real-time digital banking environment, with security and resilience built into system design.

Looking ahead, Security Bank said it will continue executing its multi-year technology roadmap, with further investments planned in artificial intelligence and automation for fraud management and operations, advanced cybersecurity and threat monitoring, core banking and payments modernization, API monetization, embedded finance partnerships, and broader digitalization across branches and internal processes.
