King.PH stayed true to its motto — “Ang tunay na hari hindi ka iiwan,” (A true king will never leave you,) — after holding a corporate social responsibility (CSR) outreach for displaced families temporarily staying at the Purok Tres Covered Court in Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City, on Tuesday afternoon.
More than 600 families were affected by a fire that broke out on December 12 along C. Fernando Street in Barangay Pleasant Hills, forcing residents to seek shelter across three evacuation centers.
In addition to food packs, the online gaming and entertainment platform distributed shirts and clean drinking water to families currently living in tents.
Barangay Pleasant Hills captain Marc Renniel Evangelista said the affected families are expected to remain at the evacuation site for several months, while the barangay and the Mandaluyong local government unit work on plans to build an apartment complex for permanent relocation.
King.PH Queens were also present during the outreach, leading interactive games and activities for the families and awarding cash prizes that provided both enjoyment and practical support. Celebrities Paulos Tecle and Genesis Redido likewise graced the event, lending their presence to help uplift community morale.
Through initiatives such as this, King.PH reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by extending comfort, dignity, and hope to families as they begin their journey toward recovery.
