Police have arrested three suspects in the robbery of a six-wheeler delivery truck carrying nearly P2 million worth of electronic goods in Quezon City, while at least six others remain at large.

The Quezon City Police District said the robbery occurred on 12 December when the driver and helper of an MBTA Resources Inc. truck stopped at a carinderia along Betty Go-Belmonte Street.

Armed suspects seized the vehicle, transferred the cargo of JBL speakers and computer parts, and locked the victims inside the truck’s cargo hold.

The suspects drove toward Bulacan and later released the victims in Pandi town. The incident was reported to authorities, prompting a police alarm and an investigation by Kamuning Police Station 10.

Through coordination with Bulacan police and CCTV backtracking, investigators traced the stolen truck and discovered the cargo had been transferred to another vehicle bound for Tondo, Manila.

One suspect, identified as Jereme, later admitted involvement and named his accomplices.

Follow-up operations led to the arrest of suspects known as “Malabad” and “Christian” in Pasig City on 14 December.

Police also recovered one JBL PartyBox speaker, though other suspects, including those identified as Jason Ignas and “Alastair,” managed to escape.

The three suspects are now in custody and face charges of qualified theft, robbery, and carnapping.
