Popolo Music Group (PMG) carried out a Thanksgiving relief outreach on 29 November, providing food assistance to 60 families in a barangay in Dumaguete City affected by a recent typhoon.
The activity was led by Mary Ann Bartoces, who represented PMG and headed a team of volunteers that coordinated with local community leaders to distribute food packs containing essential staples. The outreach aimed to address immediate needs of families who experienced food shortages and livelihood disruption following the storm.
PMG volunteers personally engaged with residents during the distribution, offering support and solidarity as families continue to recover from the typhoon’s impact. The initiative emphasized not only the delivery of relief goods, but also community presence and empathy during the recovery period.
During the visit, PMG also pledged additional assistance amounting to P1 million for Negros Oriental. The commitment will be allocated to school renovation projects and future community outreach initiatives, reflecting the company’s focus on long-term recovery beyond immediate disaster response.
The Dumaguete activity forms part of PMG’s broader philanthropic efforts in the Philippines, which include disaster relief, educational support, and community development programs. The company has consistently integrated humanitarian initiatives into its operations alongside its work in music production and artist development.
Founded by Seoul-based American entrepreneur Paul “Pooh” Lunt and Huong Kim, Popolo Music Group is a global music production and artist development company that aims to help position the Philippines as a hub for Asian pop music. The company has also committed to social responsibility as a core value, supporting outreach programs nationwide. PMG is scheduled to release its first P-pop record in June 2026.
