The Philippine National Police (PNP) expressed support for the newly signed memorandum of agreement establishing the Pension and Deduction Loan Information System (PDLIS), a digital platform intended to modernize the processing of pensions and benefits for police retirees.
Acting PNP Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the organization is coordinating with the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) to ensure proper integration of personnel and pension data into the system.
The PDLIS aims to address issues in pension processing by replacing manual procedures with automated verification and real-time data updates.
The memorandum of agreement was signed by NAPOLCOM, PNP Lakas Tulungan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AFPSLAI), Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AMWSLAI), and system developer Codebiz IT Solutions Inc. The platform will be funded by AFPSLAI, AMWSLAI, and PNPLTMPC at no cost to the government.
Under the agreement, PDLIS will handle police pensions, total permanent physical disability benefits, and death claims covered by Republic Act 6975.
The system will include automated loan-locking, real-time validation, and safeguards against unauthorized deductions or inaccurate data entries.
Nartatez said the digital system is expected to reduce delays, eliminate duplicate or erroneous records, and prevent incorrect or unauthorized deductions affecting retirees and beneficiaries.
“Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan na natin ng digital solutions that prevent errors and strengthen accountability,” he said, adding that the automated features will help ensure accurate and timely release of benefits.
