The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested a total of 59 drug suspects and 78 wanted individuals during a weeklong anti-crime operation conducted from 30 November to 6 December 2025.

Acting QCPD director Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio on Wednesday said that the district’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs and criminality also netted 55 gamblers and eight individuals for illegal possession of firearms.

In 45 anti-illegal drug operations, police arrested the 59 suspects and confiscated illegal narcotics with an estimated street value of P757,764.

The campaign against wanted persons resulted in the apprehension of 78 individuals, including 38 who were listed as Most Wanted Persons. Among those arrested were alias “Roniel,” wanted for malicious mischief and less serious physical injuries, and alias “Arturo,” the No. 6 Most Wanted Person of the Fairview Police Station for frustrated homicide; both had been in hiding for 16 years.

Police also captured alias “Romnick” and alias “Rodel,” both wanted for theft, after they had evaded arrest for 11 years. Other notable arrests included alias “Vicente,” wanted for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and alias “Rutzen,” wanted for violating the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016; both had been on the run for six years. The courts of origin for the warrants have been notified of the arrests.

Police also conducted 36 operations against illegal gambling, leading to the arrest of the 55 suspects and the confiscation of P16,276 in bet money. Additionally, eight firearms were seized during operations against illegal possession of weapons, leading to the arrest of eight individuals.

Charges have been filed against the suspects before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law, and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

“This week’s accomplishments clearly prove that the QCPD remains steadfast in its fight against criminality, illegal drugs, and other unlawful activities,” Silvio said.
