Volvo XC60 joins 3rd Battig Golf Cup

DT

Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), distributor of Volvo Cars in the Philippines, supported the 3rd Battig Golf Cup “Swing for Music” at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club. The event raised funds for music scholars under the Sister Baptista Battig Music Foundation Inc.

The annual tournament helps sustain scholarship programs for young musicians from nearby communities. The foundation provides formal training and develops the skills of its students through structured music education. Its work focuses on personal growth and academic support through the arts.

HARI brought the Volvo XC60 to this year’s tournament as the featured vehicle. The brand highlighted the SUV’s Scandinavian identity and linked it to Sweden’s strong music culture. Organizers said the theme aligned with the foundation’s mission to guide students through creativity and disciplined practice.

BRINGING the Volvo XC60 to the venue, HARI staff welcome guests at the 3rd Battig Golf Cup.

Guests viewed the XC60 at the fairways and learned about its features. The model offered plug-in hybrid technology, safety systems, and a cabin with a simple and spacious layout. Visitors also tested the Harman Kardon audio system inside the display vehicle.

The sound setup served as a point of interest because the event focused on young musicians and the value of music in education.

HARI vice chair, president and CEO Maria Fe Perez Agudo attended the tournament. She is an alumna of St. Scholastica’s College Manila and a long-time supporter of the foundation.

She said the partnership carried a personal meaning for her. She added that HARI’s presence at the event reflected its role in promoting education and culture in the country.

The 3rd Battig Golf Cup continued its goal of securing funds for more than 32 scholars for the school year. The proceeds will help meet the educational needs of the students and maintain the foundation’s programs.
