Collectible toys continue to surge in popularity among Filipinos, and Skullpanda — one of Pop Mart’s most sought-after characters — is emerging as a cultural touchpoint for young collectors whose interests blend art, identity and nostalgia.

That growing enthusiasm sets the stage for the Skullpanda Cage-Uncage Showcase, which will make its first international debut in Singapore this December.

Running from 12 December 2025to 22 February 2026 at the National Museum of Singapore, the exhibition marks a landmark three-way partnership between the toy company, the Singapore Tourism Board, and the National Museum. It offers fans a deeper look at Skullpanda’s transformation from a blind-box favorite into a character celebrated for its introspective narratives and striking artistic style.

Created by Chinese artist Xiong Miao in 2018, Skullpanda has gained a strong following in the Philippines and across Asia, resonating with collectors who connect with its themes of uncertainty, self-discovery and emotional nuance. The showcase expands that universe with large-scale installations, multisensory environments and six themed zones exploring aspects of everyday life.

Collectors can expect showcase-exclusive merchandise with strict purchase limits, and the first 4,500 visitors will receive a Singapore-exclusive Skullpanda gift. A public Pop Mart pop-up store will also accompany the exhibition.
