The Philippine National Police on Wednesday touted the Quezon City Police District’s arrest of 215 individuals in a weeklong series of intensified anti-crime operations.

PNP Acting Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the operations, conducted from 23 to 29 November 2025, targeted illegal drugs, wanted persons, gambling activities, and the possession of unlicensed firearms.

The QCPD’s weeklong campaign led to the arrest of 70 drug suspects through 46 anti-drug operations, which also resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs valued at P788,592.

In a parallel effort, authorities apprehended 83 wanted individuals, including 34 listed as Most Wanted Persons.

Some of these suspects had reportedly been evading law enforcement for several years. Courts of origin have been notified of corresponding legal action.

In its crackdown on illegal gambling, QCPD carried out 39 operations that resulted in 56 arrests and the seizure of gambling paraphernalia and bet money.

Meanwhile, six separate operations targeting illegal firearms led to six arrests and the recovery of six unlicensed weapons.

Cases have been filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), P.D. 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling), and R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), among other related offenses.

Nartatez commended QCPD for its “strong and consistent performance,” noting that each successful operation contributes to safer communities.

“Every arrest made and every illegal activity disrupted means safer streets for our fellow citizens,” he said, emphasizing the PNP’s ongoing commitment to professionalism and integrity.

The PNP reiterated its assurance to the public that proactive, sustained operations will continue as part of its mandate to maintain peace and order throughout the country.
